Viettel Global profits for 5 consecutive years

In 2014, Viettel Global achieved over 20% growth both of revenues, subscribers and profits; making this year as 5nd year of profitable business.

On 23 April, at Annual Shareholder’s Meeting 2015, Viettel Global declared business results in 2014 as total revenue USD 1.2 billion , increased more than 20% compared to 2013, gross profit before tax USD 140.3 million, adding 41% compared to 2013. This is 5th consecutive year of profitable business of Viettel Global.

The company has promoted investment in Burundi and Tanzania, making total foreign markets that it has invested till now to 9 with a total population of 175 million.

Viettel Global has also officially provided telecom services in Cameroon under brand name Nexttel. Within only first 3 months, Nexttel created a 3G wave in this market and gained about 1 million new customers. Nexttel's sister company Telemor in Timor Leste also topped with more than 400.000 customers after only one year, while its monopolistic competitor got same number for over 10 years.

Other companies of Viettel Global such as Metfone in Campuchia, Unitel in Laos and Movitel in Mozambique also maintained leading role in each market. 2014 was the year of Viettel Global’s reputed international rewards, especially Movitel with record of 3 huge awards.

Through those impressions, Viettel Global gradually asserted its power in international market,  becoming potential partners of many countries. 2014 was a year that Viettel Global got many investment offers from Congo DRC, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Korea, Belarus and Ukraine.

To 2015, Viettel Global targets revenue USD 1.453 billion, adding 20% compared to 2014; gross profits before tax USD 168.7 million, increasing 20% from last year. Same time, the company targets official grand openings in Burundi and Tanzania, gets 2 more licenses to invest in 2 new markets; directing toward to 2020 target, Viettel would be presenting in 20 countries all over the world.

Annual Shareholder’s Meeting 2015 approved plan that increases Charter Capital of Viettel Global an amount of more than 10.000 Billion dong (appr. 500M USD), to meet its investment needs in next 3 years, coming to market scale of a total population of 350M. According to that, Viettel Global would sell more than 1M new stocks with par value of 10.000 dong per each, making its total charter capital up to 22.438B dong (appr. 1B USD).
